Russia 2 - St Petersburg

An impressive stone colonnade forms an arc around the gardens and central fountain on either side of this grand entrance into Kazan Cathedral. There are 96 columns I am told - I didn't count them! After the war of 1812 the church became a monument to Russian victory.
